MMG PUBLIC EXHIBITIONS IN 2026

BRITISH MOTOR MUSEUM AT GAYDON - JULY 18 & 19

MECCANO EXHIBITION AND CLASSIC FORD CAR RALLY

The MMG is pleased to be holding its 12th annual exhibition of Meccano models as part of this summer event at the British Motor Museum in Gaydon. Last year's event was very successful and every year we seem to attract more visitors than the previous one. The event is well attended by classic car enthusiasts so Meccano models with an automotive theme are especially popular with visitors.

This event is not just for MMG members and a welcome is extended to members of other UK Meccano clubs/societies to exhibit their model(s). We hope to see you there !

Our model display will be indoors in the Conference Rooms alongside a small indoor trade area with diecast models, vehicle brochures and photos. The main event outdoors allows you to see a whole range of pre-1995 Ford vehicles including Anglias, Capris, Cortinas, Escorts, Fiestas, Granadas, Model Ts, Zephyrs and Zodiacs and 32’ Deuces.

The British Motor Museum and is a mecca for car enthusiasts and houses the world's largest collection of historic British cars which span the classic, vintage and veteran eras of motoring. There are over 400 British classic cars from the collections of the British Motor Industry Heritage Trust and the Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust.

ONLY PRE-BOOKED MODEL EXHIBITORS RECEIVE FREE ENTRY TO THIS EVENT. NON-EXHIBITORS WILL NEED TO BUY AN ENTRY TICKET.

MODEL EXHIBITORS Both the MMG and other Meccano clubs/societies are invited to exhibit their model(s), however you cannot just turn up without prior arrangement. The event organiser needs to be informed ahead of the event to allow them to plan our exhibition space and ensure that enough space is reserved for your model(s). We hope you can attend both days, however you are welcome to come for Saturday or Sunday only.

To book your place please download, complete and return the Gaydon Application Form (using the link below) by the closing date July 1st, 2026 . Then email it to both the MMG organiser John Sharp and the main event organiser as explained on the form.

MIDLANDS MODEL ENGINEERING EXHIBITION AT LEAMINGTON SPA - OCTOBER 15-18

As in previous years, the MMG will be in attendance throughout the 4 days of this excellent model engineering event. We will have a fine display of Meccano models alongside the many other model engineering stands.

At the Midlands Model Engineering Exhibition in 2016 the MMG stand featured a selection of Gregg Worwood's Meccano railway models, which was awarded the Challenge Shield for the Best Club Stand at that year's show.
