The final meeting of the 50th anniversary year will be our 50th AGM on 14 October. It is hoped we will be able to distribute the Anniversary book celebrating the history of the first 50 years of the MMG. Those who cannot attend will receive the book in the Xmas mailing with the December issue of the bulletin. The anniversary sign will also be sent to those members who have not been able to collect it from a meeting.




MMG MECCANO exhibition at The British Motor Museum, home to the world’s largest collection of British Cars; it boasts nearly 300 cars in its collection which span the classic, vintage and veteran eras and is a mecca for car enthusiasts. The Heritage Motor Centre is situated in Gaydon, Warwickshire, just off junction 12 of the M40.


Exhibition in 2018 will be on 15 July SUNDAY: 1000 to 1600.

Setting up on Saturday 14 July from 3pm and Sunday before 0930.

EXHIBITORS BY PRE-BOOKED ENTRY ONLY. NOTE NON-EXHIBITORS WILL NEED TO PAY THE ENTRY CHARGE

MMG MODEL SERIES

A new series of model plans from MMG members is being published by MWMO. The first is Terry Pettitt's super Aero Morgan featuring a V twin engine with working tappets and valve gear, 3 speed and reverse gearbox with chain drive to rear wheel. The model can be built with a few extra parts to a No.10 set. Described in detail by Roger Marriott in this 20 page model plan (MP224).
